I was very sorry today to have learned of the passing of Rick. I worked with Rick for several years in the early years of our careers as Police Officers at One District Traffic Unit in Toronto. We kept in touch periodically after that as we transferred to different divisions and units until we both retired in 2001. I remember Rick as an excellent all-round Police Officer in the Drug Squad, Hold-Up Squad and 23 Division Detective Office. My condolences to his family.

As a young motorcycle policeman, I still remember Rick showing me how to put on my leggings ( leather covers ), he laughed because i had them on backwards. His sense of humour is what i remember most and how he always gave his time to others.
