It is with great sadness that the family of Florence “Joan” Clancy Baird Brett announce her passing on July 29, 2024, at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre in Twillingate, at the age of 86.

Joan is predeceased by her parents: Harry and Maggie Ashbourne; husbands James Clancy, Thomas Baird and Raymond Brett, her siblings Albert Ashbourne and Bessie Stuckless.

Joan leaves with fond and loving memories her children: Jill (Sheldon) Rogers and Joseph Clancy, loving grandchildren Janine (Tristan), Kate (Zachary) and Olivia; great grandchildren Samual, Jack and Ava Oliver as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A very special thank you to the Admiral’s Coast Retirement Home (CBS), Oram’s Bethesda Manor II (Gander), and the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre Care Team (Twillingate) who took such wonderful care of Joan while she was there.
