Obituary of Bob Randell
It is with great sadness that the family of Robert “Bob” Wilmore Randell announce his sudden passing on February 23rd at his residence in TooGood Arm, NL at the age of 72. Robert (Bob) was born August 4, 1952, to Kenneth & Florence (Marie) Randell of Hooping Harbour, NL. He was the firstborn in a family of 12.
Bob met the love of his life, Betty Blake, as a bus driver in Goose Bay. They were married on October 1, 1976, and from that union they had 2 sons Jamie & Robbie.
Bob was a jack of all trades and worked as a bus driver, boat builder, a fisherman, and at many other things his hands could find to do. He was never one to sit back and be idle he had to be busy all the time.
He was a very kind & generous man and went above and beyond for his family, siblings, and numerous friends in his lifetime. He would never see anyone do without if it was in his power to help. There were no strangers with Bob because he was a friend to everyone.
Bob was never happier than when he could be up to their bus cabin and in the great outdoors with Betty. They equally shared a love of hunting, fishing, berry picking, quad rides, cutting firewood, and snowmobiling together. They were true soulmates.
He was an amazing provider for his family, loved them dearly, and adored his boys and grandchildren.
Bob is predeceased by his parents: Kenneth and Marie Randell; brothers Howard and Dilys Randell; father-in-law Maxwell Blake, sister-in-law Maxine Mesher, and brothers-in-law Ford Burt, Lew Burt, and Phillip Mugford.
Bob leaves with fond and loving memories his loving wife Betty of 48 years; and their children: Jamie (Jennifer) and Rob (Sherry); his mother in law Dorothy Blake, and step mother in law Joan Pollard; his much loved grandchildren Zoe, Max, Ava; and his precious great grand daughter Jemma, his siblings Colin, Garry, Lloyd(Tamer), Eric (Blanche), Boyd (Marlene), Kasper (Tracy), Marilyn Mugford, Pennie, and Marsha; sisters-in-law Judy Burt, Verna Burt, brother in law Wayne Mesher, special Aunt and Uncle, Shirley and Naaman Randell and brother in law and friend Simeon Gillingham as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and friends.
