It is with great sadness that the family of Eric Hardy Bourden announce his passing on April 26, 2025 at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL at the age of 89.

Eric was a loving and devoted husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. He loved to help others always, he loved to fish, plant his gardens, play his accordion, sing, go to church, talk to family and to pray. He truly loved all his friends and family his God and church. Eric was a jack of all trades and worked as a bus driver, boat builder, a fisherman, and at many other things his hands could find to do. He was never one to sit back and be idle he loved to be busy all the time.

Eric is predeceased by his parents: Andrew and Sophie Bourden; his first wife Doreen, and his daughter Cynthia Bourden, siblings James (Dolly) Cheater, Louise LeBlanc, Isaac Bourden, Marie (James) Reininger, and Ada (John Winpenney) Bourden.

Eric leaves with fond and loving memories his loving wife Maxine of 31 years; his children: David (Loretta), Catherine (Paul), and Maxine’s children Richard (Krystal), and Treena (Christopher), and his son in law Raymond; his much loved grandchildren Ryan (Katrina), Lauren, Stacey, Evie, Kaitlyn (Cadiz) and Thomas (Gracie); and his precious great grandchildren Lucy and Scarlett, his brothers in law Andy LeBlanc and Lloyd (Marion) Burton , as well as his nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.

A special thank you to all who gave of your kindness and support during this time, it has meant so much to us. The gestures of sympathy and help you've provided have brought us great comfort. We are truly thankful for having such wonderful neighbours and friends.
