Peacefully, with her family by her side, after a brief illness, at the Pembroke Regional Hospital on Friday December 29, 2023 at the age of 73 years.
Verna Garon of Petawawa, is predeceased by her husband Terry Pritchett, her parents Leonard and Minnie Granville, sisters Elva and Bernice (Woodrow), brothers Lloyd, Gerald and Harold (Shirley), niece Thelma Lynn and brother-in-law John.
Leaving to mourn; sons Tony (Winona), Paul and Matthew (Susan), granddaughter Mackenzie, brother Robert (Margaret), sister Myrtice, Carol, sister-in-law Doreen, many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Verna was the loving daughter of the late Minnie and Leonard Granville. She grew up in Black Duck Cove - a place dear to her heart. She spent a number of years living in Gander as well as other cities in Canada including Petawawa, Ontario where she was living at the time of her passing. Her favorite pastime was watching the Toronto Maple Leafs as she was an avid fan. She always loved talking about the games. In her later years, she cherished the time spent with her grand-daughter Mackenzie. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by her family.
Respecting Verna’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Graveside interment to take place at Little Harbour United Church Cemetery, Twillingate, NL.
