It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Roy Hynes announces his sudden passing at James Paton Memorial Hospital on August 13th, 2025.
Roy was a beloved husband, father, poppy, brother and friend with a love for fishing and spending time in the woods. Roy could often be found out on the water, up at the cabin, playing with his grandkids, or helping out a friend.
Left to mourn with cherished memories, his loving wife Shirley, daughters Lynette (Ricardo) & Holly (Andrew), son Ryan (Niki), brothers Bruce (Sandra), Alvin (Geraldine), Terry, Lester (Angie), sisters Betty (Edward), Loretta, Ada (Wilfred), and Maisie (Enos), grandchildren Peyton, Adeyssa, Leahnora, Zakhari and Brooke, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends.
Roy is predeceased by his parents Warrick and Rachel Hynes, and brother-in-law Roy Ledrew.
A service and celebration of his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.
