It is with great sadness that the family of Douglas Hayward Chipman announce his passing on September 9, 2025, at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate at the age of 73.

Doug is predeceased by his parents Ralph and Madge Chipman; and spouse Ruby.

Left with fond and loving memories are his daughters: Stephanie and Amy (Mike); grandson Adrian and his dad Matthew; brother John (Karen); nephew Stephen (Tesa); and niece Susan; as well as Ruby’s family and other relatives and friends.

A special thank you to the home care girls and the staff of the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center-Long Term Care Unit, Twillingate who took such wonderful care of Dad; it will not be forgotten.

Donations in Doug’s memory may be given the Hospital Pond Community Garden Walking Trail.
