It is with great sadness that the family of Derrick Roy Greenham announce his passing on September 25, 2025, at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, NL at the age of 61.

Derrick is predeceased by his parents: Roy and Betty Greenham; his brother Lionel, and his sisters in law Viola and Marie.

Derrick leaves with fond and loving memories his loving wife Verna of 36 years; his children: Samantha, and Kenneth, his precious granddaughter Sadie, his sisters Kim (Jamie) and Sandra (Steve), sisters in law Anne (Lew), Cassie (Chris), and Linda (Terry), his brothers in law Gerald (Ethel), Lew (Wavey), Eugene (Chris), Marvin (Holly), and Wayne as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends.

Derrick had a larger-than-life personality. To know him was to love him. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for those he cared about. He loved his wife and best friend of 40 years, cherished his children, granddaughter, and all of his family and friends. His sisters held a special place in his heart - their bond was filled with love, laughter and endless support throughout life. He loved music, BBQing, hosting, socializing, and most of all his family. His dedication to his family was undeniable. He spent countless hours in the stadium with Sadie for hockey and truly enjoyed every minute. It was a privilege to have him in our lives. Forever would not have been long enough. He will be loved and missed for the rest of our days.

In keeping with Derrick’s wishes cremation has taken place.
