It is with deep sadness that the family of Alfred Samuel Stuckless announce his peaceful passing at Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice on October 3, 2025, at the age of 80.
He is predeceased by his parents Edward and Georgina Stuckless, grandson Justin Stuckless, brother Reginald Stuckless, sisters Maggie Spencer and Gertie Smith.
He leaves with loving and precious memories his wife, Ann of 57 years, his son Steven (Lisa) and daughter Sonya (Mervin), his grandchildren Dylan and Morgan. Brothers Bill (Rhona) Stuckless and George (Brenda) Stuckless; sisters Betty Stuckless, Dorothy (Melvin) Wells, Evelyn (Hardy) Gillard, Dulcie (John) Dove, and Minnie (Simon) Schwarz. Along with many nieces and nephews.
In his younger years he enjoyed playing hockey and softball. In his later years, he loved to play golf, playing with his grandkids, church activities, and watching Blue Jays games. He spent 25 years driving generations of children in Twillingate to and from school, hockey games, and many school trips. He served his community on the town council and volunteered at the Lions Club for 20 years. But most of all, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
We would like to thank the staff at Lisaard & Innisfree Hospice for their kindness and compassion.
As per Alf’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will take place in the summer of 2026.
Any donations can be made to the United Church Cemetery on Rink Road.
