It is with sadness and a profound sense of loss that the family of Audrey Dove announce her peaceful passing on Monday, December 21, 2025, at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center at the age of 85.

Audrey is predeceased by her parents Wilson and Alva (Earle) Guy; husband Eric Dove and baby brother Howard.

Left with fond memories are her sons Paul (Vanda), David and Kevin (Julie); her daughter Karen (Colin); sister Eileen (Allan); brother Wayne (Laylah); grandchildren Mackenzie (Todd), Patrick (Emily), Kaiden, Brooklyn and Erica, along with “bonus” grandchildren Jordan (Sharlene), Stephanie (Cody), Ryder and Griffin; great-grandchildren Liam and Haizel, along with a large circle of family and friends.

Audrey moved to Ontario as a teenager to live with her aunt and uncle. She worked for many years with General Electric Canada. She met and married Eric in Ontario and had all four children there. In January of 1978, the call came giving the family an opportunity to move back to Twillingate and they gladly accepted the call. From January to June, the family of 6 along with pets moved in with Eileen and Allan until their house was ready in Crow Head. Shortly after the move, her father, Wilson retired from delivering mail to the rural route on Twillingate Island and Audrey took over. She delivered mail for approximately 30 years before she retired and passed it along to her niece, Paula.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff of the Notre Dame Memorial Health Center, especially the staff of the Long Term Care department, and all family and friends who visited her during her time at Long Term Care, and the staff of the Isles Funeral Home for their guidance and strength.
