It is with heartfelt sadness that the family of Wayne Smith announce his passing on February 11, 2026, at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center, Twillingate, NL, at the age of 75.

Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Bert and Alma Smith, wife Gertie, and his son Jeffery Smith.

He leaves to mourn his loving children Garry (Kelly), and Tony (Terrilynn), his grandchildren Kaitlyn, Kyle, Nathan, and Noah, his sister Rose (Randy), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Our family would like to thank the Doctors and Nursing staff of Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre; your kindness and compassion will not be forgotten.

A heartfelt thank you to the staff of Sunset Manor, Twillingate, NL for the wonderful care provided while Dad lived there. Your kindness, patience, and dedication made it feel like home.
