It is with heavy hearts, to announce the passing of Janesta Hamlyn. She passed peacefully away February 25, 2026, at James Paton Memorial Health Centre, Gander at the age of 66.
Janesta is predeceased by her parents Murdock and Rowena Jenkins, sisters Jane Ball and Christine Wells, sister-in-law Joyce Gillard, and brother-in-law Roy (Francis) Weir and her beloved husband Bruce Hamlyn, whom she referred to as “Love”.
Left to mourn with memories of love are her two sons Jason (Vanessa Montgomery), Wade (Kathy) Hamlyn, her grandson Scott Monthomery, sisters Melinda (Willie), Lorraine, Doreen, brothers Terry (Dolly), Randy (Patty), and Jonathan, her two nieces whom she adored Sharon (Perry) Mackenzie (Jordan) and nephew Shawn (Walter), along with other extended family.
Life is unimaginable without her; she will be missed beyond measure and loved forever. We are at peace knowing she will no longer suffer and is re-united with her husband.
Family would like to extend a heartfelt thankyou to the staff of both Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Care and the James Paton Memorial Health Centre for the care provided over the past months, her caregiver Kailey Dalley, and to Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate.
