Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Regional hospital in Gander.

Barry will be missed by his loving wife Marilyn, sons Steve (Lisa) Crane, Glen (Vicki) Crane, Ian (Anita) Crane and daughter Janet (Ken) Forward. As well as grandchildren Ben, Kalynn, Jared, Quinn, Riley, Taylor and Morgan. Great grandchildren Thea and Lucy. Marilyn’s children Richard, Rodney, Melanie and their families.

Barry grew up in St. John’s with a love of the outdoors. He was an avid skier, hunter and fisherman in his early years and loved spending time on the ocean in his later years. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and passed that on to his children.

Dad spent most of his working life in St. John’s, but almost all his leisure activities involved heading out to the “country”.

He moved to Embree and then Twillingate with Marilyn and enjoyed the smaller community vibe with easy access to get out on the water. He embraced Twillingate as his home and was very happy while living there until his death.

Cremation has occurred. His family will gather in Twillingate this summer to celebrate his life.
