Kevin Harold Blackler Obituary

It is with great sadness that we share the sudden passing of Kevin Blackler on May 6, 2026, at the age of 63. This sudden loss leaves the family deeply saddened.

Kevin is predeceased by his parents Harold William and Maggie Blackler, parents in law Maxwell and Shirley Elliott, and brother in law David Elliott.

He leaves behind his wife Darlene (nee Elliott), sons: Chad (Meaghan), Trevor (Emily), and Jacob (Kaity). He was a loving brother to Bert (Sandra) Blackler, Edna (Raymond) Waterman and Lloyd (Kelly) Blackler, brother-in-law to Paul (Jill) Elliott and Howard (Tonia) Elliott. He also leaves a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Kevin loved being on the water fishing, seal hunting or just going for a boat ride. He also enjoyed moose hunting and listening to the sound of the birds. He had a knack for cooking and wanted to make sure everyone had a gut full before they left. Kevin was full of life and loved making people laugh.

His greatest joys were his 3 sons and he was so proud of them and their accomplishments. He hoped one day to be a proud “poppy”.

Kevin trusted in God even with all the ups and downs that life brought. God was his guiding light to empowering him to be the man he always wanted to be.
