Obituary of Nellie Leah Celeste Hurley

Passed peacefully away, Leah Celeste "Nellie" Hurley, aged 93, at the Interfaith Citizens Home, Carbonear. She was predeceased by: husband Ford; parents Beatrice and Thomas Ings; sisters Mary and Clemmie;brother Edward; and granddaughter Eilidh. She leaves to mourn with loving and precious memories, children: Bonnell (Thelma), Cluney (Donna), Calvin (Joanne), and Melva (Peter) Curtis; grandchildren: Glen (Twyla), Laura (Nick), Cheryl, Tera (Clayton), Gregory, and Emily (Patrick); great grandchildren: Paul, Joelle, Sarah, and Sophie; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation took place on October 23rd 2-4 & 7-9 PM from Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate. The funeral service was held on October 24th at 2:00 PM from the East Central United Church, Newville, Rev. Paula Gale officiated. Interment followed at the United Cemetery, Green Cove. As expressions of sympathy donations in Nellie's memory may be made to the East Central United Church or to a charity of one's choice.
