Obituary of Hettie Watkins

Passed peacfully away, Sunday, November 15th, Mrs. Hettie Watkins, at the age of 89 years. She was predeceased by: husband Sidney; parents Bennett & Joyce Guy; daughter Joyce (Arthur) Batschkun; infant son Gordon; sisters Winnie Cramm and Meta Bungay;daughter-in-law Ella Watkins; and sons-in-law Gerald Granville and James Munroe. She leaves to mourn with loving and precious memories, children: Madeline Munroe, Doreen Granville, Howard (Brenda), Ken( Lorraine), Donna (Pat) White, Ben (Diane), Karen (Gerald) George, Sherry (Paul) Taylor, and Hardy (Alisa); grandchildren: Sherry (Robert), Cathy (Robert), Paul, Richard, Mark (Cindy), Heather (Billy), Pamela (Doug), Chris (Nichole), Jennifer (Robert), Jason (Brenda), Jeremy, Joshua (Janet), Melanie (Robert), Heather, Samantha, Matthew, Nicole, Timothy (Dana), Julie, Cameron, Allison, Rachelle, Jessica, Jordyn, Keith, and Crystal; great grandchildren: Samantha, Nicholas, Hannah, Melissa, Michael, Nichole, Robert, Callum, Sarah, Matthew, Shannon, Jonathan, Zachary, Dominique, Ciara, Lucas G., Caleb, Chloe, Lesley, Reid, Robbie, Ayona, Austin, Dawson, Rebecca, Lucas W., and Kennedy; great great grandchildren: Henri and Rylan; siblings: Chesley (Alma) Guy, Frank (Alma) Guy, and Joyce (Tom) Marr; sisters-in-law: Mildred Watkins, and Lily Rogers; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephew, the staff of the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre Long Term Care Unit, other relatives and friends. The visitation will take place on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM from the Salvation Army church, Twillingate, Majors Lyndon and Lisa Hale officiating. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Ragged Point. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Hettie's memory may be made to the Salvation Army Band Fund.
