Obituary of Harold G. Simms

Passed peacefully away at James Paton Memorial Hospital, Gander on Tuesday, December 8th, Harold G. Simms, aged 81 years. He is predeceased by: father William Simms; brother Allan; and sister Queen. Harold leaves to mourn with fond and cherished memories: wife of 60 years, Verna; mother Edna Simms; children: Barry (Shirley) and Angela (Kevin) Roberts; grandchildren: Gregory (Christa), Christopher (Julie), Stephen, Allison, and Brittany; great grandchildren: Aliyah, William, Myah, and Harrison; sisters: Shirley (Edwin) Lemont and Ruth Dyson; and brother Leonard (Shirley); as well as many other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM from Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate. The funeral service will take place on Friday at 11:00 AM from Central United Church, Rev. George Stockley officiating. Interment will follow at the North Side United cemetery, Twillingate. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Harold’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
