We are so shocked and saddened after hearing of Arthur's passing. Mark 12:28-31 It is our firm belief that Arthur lived out these commandments to the full! His love for God was often and widely heard by many through his wonderful musical ministry. His love for his family and indeed all mankind will forever live on in the hearts of all those he knew. No doubt he heard: "Well done, good and faithful servant!" Be assured of our prayers for all of you.

So sorry to hear of Arthur's passing, still a big shock to me and my family. We have so many wonderful memories of Arthur and have been sharing stories over the past couple of days, some of which made us laugh, one thing he was famous for. Arthur was such a joy to be around and was really good at pulling a few jokes on some of his fellow fishermen. To the Rideout family, treasure all of the wonderful memories you have and just remember heaven has gained a wonderful angel, one of which heaven needed to play those ivory keys. May God give you the strength you need to get through this difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. ~The Jenkins Family~

I still feel like this is a dream and I will wake up soon and I am sure that the family feels the same way. I have some wonderful, fun memories of Uncle Arthur. He was a very loving, Godly man, someone to look up to, a beautiful pianist and singer. I was honoured to have Uncle Arthur come visit our family a few years back in Yellowknife, what a treat to have an Uncle come visit us. I have beautiful memories now. Then we had our visit to Twillingate a few summers ago, sitting by the fire with Uncle Arthur was another memory that I will cherish. I will never forget his funny stories and jokes. To Aunt Hazel, Christa, Christine, Scott and Greg, we love you and I pray for peace and comfort for you all. And to the rest of the family, extended family and his friends, I pray the same. I love you Uncle Arthur and will miss you on this earth, but I am reminded of something that a pastor said this year at a celebration of life of a young boy I knew. The pastor talked about C.S Lewis and The Narnia Chronicles and how C.S Lewis talks about how life is the cover page and title page of what is to come. Now Uncle Arthur you are "beginning Chaptor One of the Great Story which no one on earth has read:which goes on forever:in which each chapter is better than the one before" Your story is just beginning Uncle Arthur and I just know you are having a party up there. Love you.

We were shocked and saddened to hear of Arthur's passing. You guys were such wonderful cabin neighbors. When we went to the cabin we always looked to see if Arthur's truck was there . It was a great feeling just to know you guys were there . as well. When we sold the cabin and was taking things out we chatted to Arthur out on the hill. He said Larry we're going to miss you up here next winter in the woods. Little did we know that God had other plans and Arthur would spend this winter in heaven. It's the first time I've been happy our cabin is sold. Praying for you all that God will give you strength and peace to get through the days ahead. RIP Arthur. We know you're with Jesus which is far better then any cabin.

Oh my....may God give us strength to bear this incredible loss as only He can do. Arthur was such a wonderful example of a man of profound faith and we enjoyed many conversations that reflected his unwavering, humble love for the lord. We always considered him the best of friends along with Hazel. Whenever the weather was suitable for a motorcycle ride he would frequently drop by for a most welcome visit. We always looked forward to these visit because he would bring along his awesome sense of humor. We were always honored that he would take the time to spend a portion of his day with us. Each year we would try and have Arthur and hazel over for a B&B sleep-over. And, the next morning Teri would have blueberry pancakes ready for breakfast which he so dearly loved. Whenever you were around Arthur, you felt this incredible warmth and love that just seem to be a part of him. One recent memory comes to mind...when Arthur came over to go cod fishing with me. It was not so much about the fishing but rather the quality time we were able to spend with one another. He was so kind and patient with me as I barely knew the rudiments of fishing. We know that he always took time to do the same for many people, but nevertheless, he had a way of making you feel so very special. He had the natural faith-based ability to share Christ through his shining example. Apart from his immediate family his loss will be deeply felt by all who knew him, especially his corps family of the Salvation Army. Thankfully, we have our faith to help us to deal with this extremely profound loss. God calls us home according to His perfect timing, not ours...and, as difficult as this loss is, we have the assurance that we shall all meet again in the presence of our Heavenly Father. We feel so deeply blessed to have known and loved Arthur. He was and will always be a bright light, and we will forever cherish his friendship.
