On behalf of myself, Paul and family. We would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the White family. Jim was a cousin but more like an older brother. He was always Uncle Jim to our kids. He was a great friend and neighbour. We are heartbroken as I know you all are. A visit to Twillingate will never be the same. We couldn't pull into Mom and Dad's driveway and not look over to see Jim sitting on his chair (backwards of course) in the kitchen window. We would exchange waves and sometimes he may even yell something out the window. Later we would have to drop over for a visit and a yarn before we would head back. Well for Paul it would probably be a few trips across the road. He enjoyed his chats and thought a lot of him. Jim was a very kind and caring person. I don't think he ever said onto any favours you would ask. Usually it would be something like" now I know you needed to ask me that". What ever he had was yours. With no expectations of anything in return. I remember this past summer when we parked our camper in his backyard and we wanted to give him something to return the favour. Of course his response was " now you aren't foolish. You know I didn't want anything for that. " And we know he meant it because that was the kind of person he was. I can honestly say I do not know too many people that are that generous and lived life with the philosophy of what's mine is yours. We are also going to miss his wit and sarcasm. Qualities some people may not find likeable in a person but we LOVED because that was Jim. Never hurtful but just liked to joke around. He would tell jokes(make fun) with no malice intended. Even if you were the butt of one of his jokes, you couldn't help but laugh. Then there were the nick names. I was Ros snoz and Paul was always fling. I could go on because there is so much more I could say. We have so many great memories. I will however finish now by saying "how can we not miss all of this"? We will for sure think about you often and " the Arm" will never be the same. We miss you and love you. Ros, Paul and Family.

To Aunt Louise, Christine, Doug, Wayne, Lance, Randy, Cindy, Marsha, Josh & families. We were shocked and saddened to hear of the sudden passing of Jim. After the tears have dried and the goodbyes have been said, all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that weve shared with Jim, this will keep him alive in our hearts and in our minds. The thing I (Cory) will remember most is his rare quality of treating everyone as equals. Everyone rich or poor, young or old, etc. were the same in Jim's eyes. We feel deeply for your loss. Our most sincere condolences. Love Cory, Joanne & Jaxon

I have no words to express how deeply sorry I was to hear of my cousin Jim's passing. I was shocked and saddened to receive the phone call. It was always a pleasure to chat with Jim. He always made me smile and then laugh. Whenever I would return home to visit and he would see me, and shout from the window or the front door...."Your home" ... "come on over when you gets a chance". And we would chat and catch up. I will treasure every memory of time spent with Jim. Jim you will be missed. Aunt Louise, Christine, Doug, Wayne, Lance, Randy, Cindy, Pat, Marsha, Josh and all your families... my sincere condolences. Please know my love, thoughts and prayers are with you all. Love Donna White and family
