Obituary of Roy M. Weir

Passed away on January 31, 2016, Roy M. Weir, aged 73 of Twillingate, NL. Roy was predeceased by son-in-law Gary Stuckless. He leaves with fond and loving memories: wife Frances; Children: Earl (Kelly), Melvina (Darryll) Hull and Tina Stuckless; grandchildren: Jessica, Sarah, Zachary, Destiny, Jordan and Stephanie; sisters: Doris (Reginald) Mercer and Joyce (Steward) Gillard; brother Bruce (Janista) Hamlyn; as well as a large circle other relatives and friends. Roy loved life and loved being in the company of others. He was a faithful member of the Loyal Orange Lodge, the Masonic Lodge, the Royal Canadian Legion as well as the United Church Men’s Group. Roy was also a dedicated member of the Canadian Coast Guard of many years. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 2-4pm and 7-9pm from the Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 4 at 2pm from the Central United Church, Twillingate, Rev. George Stockley officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Roy’s memory to the United Church Cemetery Fund, North Side.
