Obituary of Ada Rogers

Passed away on March 12, 2016, Ada W. Rogers, aged 92 of Twillingate, NL. She was pre-deceased by: husband Clarence; brother Jim Young, sisters: Belle Parrot and Doris Bailey. Ada leaves with fond and loving memories: Children: James, John(his partner Donna Squires) and Dean(Karen); grandchildren: Deanne (Cordell) Jenkins, Byron (Joanne), Jason (Tracey), Stephen (his partner Vicki Pope), Michael (Corrine) and Kelsei; great grandchildren: Todd, Brad, Nicholas, Gavin, Emily, Claire, Maggie, Jaxon, Jayden and Jersie; sisters: Joyce Ashbourne and Thelma Fleury; sister-in-law Vera Young; special neighbours Margaret and Clarence Jenkins; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ada was a strong, quiet natured woman who enjoyed being in the company of people and volunteering her time to give to others. She was involved in St. Andrews Anglican Church Women, the Canadian Red Cross, and the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Visitation will be held on Tuesday 7 – 9pm from the Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, March 16 at 2pm from St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Twillingate. Interment to follow at St. Andrews Anglican Cemetery, Rev. Joanne Mercer officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Canadian cancer society.
