I've just heard the news of Alison's passing. And so ends a friendship that goes back to when she was 50 and I was 16. Some of the dearest memories are of laughter, chatter, discussion and cookies and cake in the kitchen and living room. She's now reunited with her darling Bill and all's right with their worlds. May all of the wonderful memories keep you Laurie, Barbara and all the extended family smiling through your tears. I have a big hole in my heart. She was solid gold. I love you Allie. Rest in Peace.

The first time we met, I showed up at her door, she said " I'm glad it's you" and I said " I'm glad it's you too!"Strangers that instantly connected ! Even though I only had a few months to know her, it will enrich my life forever, I will carry her larger than life spirit with me always. She told me , a religious person was someone kind to others, in that case, she was an extremely religious person! Every time I see a Sunset, I will think of her and her beloved Bill making cookies with the Angels. My heart goes out to her family and friends. By her request I was to call her aunt Ally. May your beautiful spirit rest in peace, my dear sweet aunt Ally.

So sorry to hear of Alison's passing. She always remembered our wedding anniversary and sent a card every year. I so enjoyed the letters she used to send to myself and my brother(John Anstey)with excerpts from her father's diary. She really was an exceptional lady, and at last she will be returning to her beloved Twillingate which she always referred to as "God's country". Deepest sympathy and condolences to her family and all who knew Alison.

It was with sincere sadness we read of Alison's death. Alison was my friend from school days and a neighbour. Over the years and since my stay here, Alison and I corresponded. A lifetime friend and I still have many old letters plus her recipes as she was a superb cook. Unfortunately, we were unable to attend her Funeral Service at St Peter's Church, Twillingatebut our thoughts were there. Our sincere sympathy to the family, Laurie and Barbara. May Alison Rest in Peace and in God's Care.
