Obituary of George Cooper

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loved one on September 26th, 2016, George Cooper aged 87 of Durrell, NL. He was predeceased by: wife Beatrice; infant son Barry; parents William and Elizabeth; Brothers Clarence and Lloyd; and sister Marion Mills. George leaves with fond and loving memories his daughters; Eileen (Lyle) Rice, Daphne (Stan) Rogers and step son Roy Blake; grandchildren: Amanda Rogers (Mike), Adam Rogers (Melissa), Sherri-Lynn Rice (Maurice), and Kyle Rice (Alisha); great grandchildren: Kate Walbourne and Eli Rogers; sister: Margaret Pride; brothers: Roland (Frona) and Lloyd (Daphne), two special people in Georges life: Marilyn Glenson and Marilyn Preston, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 2-4pm and 7-9pm from the Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate. Funeral service to take place on Thursday, September 29th at 2pm from Salvation Army Church, Twillingate. Majors Lyndon and Lisa officiating. As expressions of Sympathy, no flowers by request, donations may be given to the Salvation Army cemetery fund or meals on wheels.
