Obituary of Frances H. Sharpe

Frances Helen Sharpe was born May 7, 1930 at Fern Valley (Sleepy Cove) to John and Minnie Dove. As a young girl she worked as a house-keeper for Adolphus Sharpe. Frances met the love of her life Leslie Sharpe of Crow Head and married December 7, 1949. Together they raised two children. Before her illness in past years she enjoyed quilting, knitting, crocheting and she loved her flower garden. Frances adored her grandchildren and great grandson they were always her pride and joy. Frances spent the last 6 years at Nightingale Manor, Gander until her passing on March 7, 2017. Frances was predeceased by: her husband Leslie Sharpe; sisters: Joyce, Ruby, Ruth, Bernice; brothers: Winston, Cyril and Chesley. She leaves to mourn: son Hardy (Yvonne); daughter Patsy (Wayne) Barnes; granddaughters: Rhonda (Andre) and Diana (Blair); grandson Michael; great grandson Dawson; sisters: Hettie Guy and Doris Stockley; brother Clayton (Jessie) Dove; brother in law Edwin Hillier; large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will take place Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM from Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate. The funeral service will be held on Saturday at 2 PM from Central United Church, Twillingate. Interment will follow at the United Cemetery, North Side. Rev. George Stockley officiating. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Frances memory may be made to the United Church Cemetery Fund, North Side.
