Obituary of Lucy R. V. Loder

Passed away on March 25, 2017, Lucy R. V. Loder, aged 59 of Pike’s Arm, NL. Lucy was predeceased by: husband Melvin; father Walter Wells; infant sister Norma and infant brother Henry Joseph; brothers-in-law: Pearce Layte and Harvey Loder . Lucy leaves with fond and loving memories: daughter Angie (Rod) Greenham; son Sheldon (Bonnie) Loder; mother Violet Wells; grandchildren: Andrew, Logan, Anton and Lucas; sisters: Melvina (Archibald) Nichol, Winnie (Gerald) Hutchings, Marion Layte, Verbena Loder, Catherine Wells, Linda (Austin) Park and Carol (Eugene) Quinlan; brother Kelsey Wells; as well as a circle of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Lucy loved the telephone! She could spend hours on the phone talking up a storm!. Tori the cat was Melvin’s little angel but in the days after his passing the cat became Lucy’s treasure. Tori kept her company on many lonely days. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, 2-4pm and 7-9pm from the Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate. Funeral service to take place on Wednesday, March 29, at 11am from the New World Island East Central United Church, Newville. Rev. Paula Gale officiating.
