Obituary of Warrick N. Young
Passed away on Nov. 1, 2017, Warrick Nelson Young age 86 of Twillingate NL.
A hardworking kind and gentle soul, Warrick worked hard all his life to provide for his family. Over the years Warrick had many different jobs: fisherman, construction worker, woodsman, miner and gardener. No matter what it was or where it took him, he did what was needed to care for his family.
Warrick was an avid gardener who took pride in his bounty and shared generously with his family, neighbours and friends.
He was always there to lend a helping hand and asked for nothing in return. He loved the outdoors and spending time in his boat or being in the woods. In later years Warrick enjoyed going to church and taking part in the Men’s fellowship group where he enjoyed the company of his friends and lending his skills as a cook and kitchen helper.
Warrick like to be busy and productive quietly going about his life with a cheerful demeanour and at 86 could still be heard starting his day whistling a happy tune.
Warrick was predeceased by his parents Arthur and Daisy Young; grandson Mark Kennedy; bothers: Calvin (Minnie), Lloyd (Violet); sister Ruby Linfield.
He leaves with fond and loving memories his wife of 62 years Doreen; daughters: Diane Young & Donna (Gordon) Kennedy; son Terry (Janice); grandchildren: Jessica & Tyler; great grandchild Landon; brothers: Junior (Joan) Young & John (Joyce) Anstey; brother-in-law Donald Linfield; as well as a circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
