Obituary of Irene L Gillard

Passed away on March 22, 2018, Irene L. Gillard, aged 89 of Twillingate, NL. She was predeceased by her mom Dulcie Welsh(nee-Young) and step dad Bill Welsh. Irene leaves with many fond and loving memories: husband Gordon for almost 70 years; children: Edward, Lorretta and Pearce(Ruby); grandchildren: Kelly(Randy), Cory(Violet), Travis(Leigh-Anne), Pennie-Lea(Craig), Jasmine(Peter) and Heidi; great grandchildren: Brianna, Mitchell, Jake, Kelsey, Hayden, Emma, Issac, Riley, Lillian, Charlie, Tyler and Devon; brother Melvin(Phillis) Welsh; as well as her nieces, other relatives and friends. The Gillard family would like to express a special thank you to their extended family, the doctors and nursing staff at Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center Long Term Care Unit for their loving care and devotion to both Irene and Gordon over the past seven years. Visitation will be held on Saturday March 24th from 2-4 & 7-9pm from the Salvation Army Citadel, Bayview. Funeral Service will take place on Sunday March 25th, 2018 @ 2PM, from the Citadel, Bayview; Captain’s Raymond and Denice Saunders officiating.
