Obituary of A. H. John Grimes

Passed peacefully away surrounded by family at Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center on Monday, April 23, 2018 at the age of 73 years. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories Barb, sons Andrew (Jennifer), Aaron (Jaime), the light of his life granddaughter Brielle, sister Edna (Carl), brothers-in-law Wilfred & Glenn (Charlene), sisters-in-law Olive (Garry), Cindy (Ken), Cathy (Beattie), and a large circle of extended family and friends. Predeceased by parents George & Margaret, sister Vera and nephew Deon. Jack was born on October 3, 1944 to Margaret & George Grimes. He went to work at sea at the early age of 15 and spent his entire working career on the ocean, retiring in 2005 as Seaman Cook with the provincial government. He enjoyed his spare time cooking & hunting and was an avid reader. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 24th from 7-9pm from the Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday morning April 25th, 2018 @ 11am, from the funeral home; Rev. Joanne Mercer officiating.
