Ronie was one of those 'second mother'-type figures to me and several others when we were growing up in Moreton's Harbour in the 1970s and '80s, so her death certainly strikes me as sad news. I remember her most fondly making toast for the boys on summer mornings and knitting in the rocking chair in the afternoons, her Carlton Showband records playing in the background. It's comforting to know that at least she lived a good long full life. Like husband Pearce, the old family home, and much of the Jones family in general now, Ronie is sadly gone but the memories of her shall surely live on. My condolences to Glen, Scott, Sue and the rest of the family.
