Obituary of Dorcas M. Anstey

Passed peacefully away on June 17, 2018 at the James Paton Memorial, Gander, Dorcas May Anstey age 93 years of Cottlesville, Nfld. Dorcas was predeceased by parents Samuel & Agnus Perry; husband Norman; daughter Monnie Stead, daughter-in-law Bonnie Anstey, great-grandchild Noelle; siblings: Myrtle Chaulk, Bernice (Wallace) Fifield, Vincent Perry, Eldon Perry, baby Samuel, Cyril Mugford. Dorcas leaves with fond and loving memories: children: Rayfield (Margaret), Eugene (Velma) and Judy (Brian) Saunders; grandchildren: Benita (Tony), Corwin (Charlene), Shannon (Angie), Chris (Amanda), Cory (Kayla), Phalyn (Keith), Taylore, Danielle, Matthew (Virginia), Jonathan (Nicole) and Rhonda (Peter); great-grandchildren: Molly, Cody, Christine, Samantha, Cora-Jane, Sophia, Samuel, Madison, and Paige; great-great-grandchild Brailyn; siblings: Fronnie Rideout, Agnes (Pearce) Anstey, Jack (Eileen) Fudge, Sadie (Pleaman) Rimmer, Hardy (Bertha) Perry, Lucy (Albert) Mills, Melvin (Nancy) Perry, Hope (David) Hicks, Joan (Lloyd) Wells, Norman (Nola) Perry, Bruce (Daisy) Perry; brother and sisters-in-law: Rita Perry, Edna Perry and Ike Chaulk; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Tuesday 2-4pm and 7-9pm from the Isles funeral home, Twillingate and Wednesday 10:30am to 12pm from Salem Pentecostal church, Cottlesville. Funeral to follow at 2pm from the church, pastor Cory Langdon officiating. In lieu of flowers, donation in Dorcas’s memory may be given to the Overseas Missions which she was very passionate about.
