He was predeceased by: parents Martin and Irene Downey, sisters: Elizabeth Downey, Catherine (Patrick) Payne and Helen Wheeler; brothers: Daniel and Clarence (Christine); brothers-in-law: William Hewitt and Steven Seaward. Gerald leaves with many fond and loving memories: wife Catherine for over 45 years; sons: Stephen and Christopher (Jessica); granddaughters: Crystal, Amber, Alyssa and Vanessa; Sisters: Frances Hewitt, Marie Seaward and Loretta (Hubert) Gedge; brothers: James, Ronald (Betty) and Aden; sister-in-law Linda Downey; brother-in-law Gary Wheeler; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
