Mr. Bridger, Ken and girls, Received a call today advising that Mrs. Bridger had passed and I wanted to send my condolences to the family. I remember as a young hockey, maybe at the age of 14-15 we travelled to Twillingate for the provincials and I was so fortunate to stay with the Bridger family. It was as close to home as I could have wanted, and that was mainly due to the way I was accepted and treated by Mrs. Bridger and her family. She fed me well, made sure I was at the stadium on time and even cheered on my team except when we played Ken in the championship game!! I went back several years later while skating with the Springdale Braves to see her and I will never forget the smile on her face when I told her who I was. If the House of Assembly wasnt sitting this week I definitely would have made the trip to pay my respects to a wonderful lady and her lovely family.
