Obituary of Thelma Colbourne

Passed peacefully away on April 21, 2019 at North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, Thelma Winnifred (Sharpe) Colbourne, Aged 67 Years. Thelma was the middle of three daughters of the late Selby and Mildred (Marsh) Sharpe of Crow head, Twillingate. She leaves to mourn her husband William (Bill); son Stephen and granddaughters Sophia and Sadie; and daughter Allison (Peter) Inkpen and grandson Liam; sisters: Christine (Cyril) Shugarue and Trudy (Peter) Ivey; niece and nephews: Deidre and Lucas Ivey, and Jeremy and Andrew Guy; brother-in-law Lloyd Colbourne (Roxanne); sister-in-law Louise Andrews (Jim); and aunt Nellie Simms; as well as a number of cousins and a wide circle of friends. Thelma spent most of her working life in Medical Office Administration, retiring 15 years ago as Administrative Assistant at North Haven Manor because of the onset of Parkinson’s Disease, eventually spending her last 6 years there as a resident where she received loving care from a wonderful staff. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, April 23rd, 2-4 and 7-9 PM from Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate. The Funeral will be held on Wednesday, April 24th at 2:00 PM from Central United Church, Twillingate, Rev. Calvin Ginn officiating. Interment will follow at the United Cemetery, Durrell. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations in Thelma's memory may be made to the Durrell United Cemetery Fund.
