Obituary of Selby W. Hynes

Passed peacefully away on Monday May 13, 2019 at Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center, Selby W. Hynes, age 80 of Twillingate, NL. He was predeceased by: his first wife Marie; parents Philip and Daisy; siblings: Ruby and Lyall; brothers-in-law: Clarence Gillard, Donald Young, Jack Gillard, Stewart Collins and Henry Rumbolt. He leaves with fond and loving memories: wife Leona; children: Emaline (Anson) Hunt, Randy (Dale), Gary (Valerie), Velma (David) Hull, Roxanne (Andrew) Brown, Rodney (Angela), Lisa (Dave), Sandra (Paul), Robert (Heidi); grandchildren: Lisa (Jared), Sarah, Heather (Brandon), Stephanie (Marshall), Emily-Ann (Matthew), Jonathan (Johanna), Melissa (Chris), Megan, Monica, Rachel, Austin, Adriana, Nathan, Lakyn and Quinn; great grandchildren: Ethan, Paige and Anna; siblings:Melinda Young, Leonard (Margaret), Rita Collins, David (Alma), Bessie (Arthur) Rumbolt, Gilbert, Wallace (Viona), Milton (Daphne), Helen (Patrick) Wiseman, Rowena (Tim) Pilgrim, Pastor Wilson (Winona) and Ida (Howard) Hynes; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday May 16, 2019 2-4 & 7-9pm from Calvary Pentecostal Church, Twillingate, NL. Funeral service to be held from the Church on Friday 2pm with Pastor Alwyn Reid officiating. Donations in Selby’s memory may be given to the family; a charity will be decided at a later date.
