Obituary of Lloyd Ings

Passed peacefully away with his family by his side, Lloyd Ings, of Durrell, NL on Sunday, August 4 th, at the age of 84 years. He was predeceased by: infant son Lloyd; parents Edwin and Louise Ings; brothers: Chesley and Bill; brothers-in-law: Harold Simms, Cecil Mitchell, Austin Rogers, Clarence Baggs, Harvey Jenkins, and Clary Jenkins; and sisters-in-law Betty Jenkins and Pansy Mitchell. He leaves to mourn with many loving memories: wife of 60 years, Joan; son Danny (Diane); sisters: Verna Simms, Shirley (Harold) Brown, and Jean (Ron) Manuel; sisters-in-law: Evelyn Ings, Joan Ings, Dallas Burton, Marjorie (Melvin) Horwood, Doreen Rogers, Bernetta Jenkins, and Thelma Baggs; brothers-in-law: Jack (Evelyn) Jenkins, Ralph (Joyce) Jenkins, and Eddie (Frances) Jenkins; care workers Patsy Dalley and Cindy Sansome; and furry friends: Max, Charlie, and Maggie; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Visitation will take place on Monday, August 5th, 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 PM from Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 6th at 2:00 PM from Central United Church, Twillingate. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Lloyd’s name may be made to the United Church Cemetery Fund.
