Obituary of Capt. William Donald Linfield

Passed away at home, Captain William Donald Linfield, 86, of Durrell, NL on Sunday, October 20th, 2019. Donald was born on February 24, 1933 to George and Lucy Linfield. He was predeceased by: wife of 51 years, Ruby; brothers-in-law: Calvin (Minnie) Young, Ward Young, and Lloyd (Violet) Young. Donald is survived by: children: Glenda (Burt) Lambert, Robert (Kelly), Peggy Linfield, Jody (Tasha), and Anthony (Melissa); grandchildren: Kimberly, Christopher, Samantha, Hilary, Emma, Molly, and Gage; great grandchildren: Isabella, Ryker, and River; very special friend of 9 years Evelyn Ings and her family; sister Betty (Harry) Elliott; brother Dave (Marie); brothers-in-law: Junior (Joan) Young and John (Joyce) Anstey; and sister-in-law Doreen Young; as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, extended relatives and friends. Visitation will take place on Tuesday 7-9 PM from Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate. The funeral will be held Wednesday, October 23rd at 2:00 PM from the Central United Church, Twillingate. Interment to follow at the United Cemetery, Durrell. As expressions of sympathy, donations in memory may be made to the Durrell United Cemetery Fund.
