We extend to you Victor and all the Hamlyn family, our sincere condolences in hearing of the passing of your loved one. I only had the privilege of being a close friend of Eddie for the last few years, but certainly cherished that time. As he did with many others, he accepted me as a friend with respect and love, not unlike as a part of his own family. The words used in his obituary describes Eddie in such a profound way of his character as the head of a very caring and loving family. Eddie & I had some great chats, including stories of the past, and which clearly reflected the way he lived his life. I'll especially miss talking with him on his birthday, and for me as a friend, I can respectfully refer to him as a gentle giant. Despite the sadness you all may feel at this time, there is reason to be joyful too, because the one who is now with God, has left you with so many treasured memories.
