Obituary of Lillian S Young

Passed away at the G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on October 10, 2020, Lillian S. Young at the aged 87 years. Lillian was born in Seldom, Fogo Island to Emily Holmes on April 2, 1933. She married Francis Young on November 10, 1965 and together they moved to St. John’s for work. Lillian worked until she was 66 years old. After retiring her and Francis moved to Clarenville and spent summers in their trailer at Kona Beach surrounded by friends. She was predeceased by parents Parmetis and Emily; Brother Harvey; and brother-in-law Sidney. Lillian leaves with fond and loving memories: husband Francis for almost 55 years: brothers: Gordon and Clarence (Linda); sisters: Clara, Pearl (Lloyd) and Wavey (Edward); as well as a circle of nephews, nieces, extended relatives and friends. In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our families and our community continues to be our highest priority. At this time, there will be a private family service with burial at the United Church Cemetery, Cobbs Arm. Donations in Lillian’s honor may be given to the United Cemetery Fund, Cobbs Arm.
