Obituary of William Murcell

Passed away on October 23, 2020 at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center, Twillingate, William (Tom) Martin Murcell, age 96 years and 9 months. He was predeceased by his first wife Olive Murcell (Watkins); son William Jr.; parents Martin and Grace; extended family George and Earl Miles; brother-in-law Pat Antle, Peter Ford. Tom was loving husband to wife Lucy Foote over 14 years; loving father to children: Gladys (Eric), Jean (Don), Calvin (Mary), Ewart (Nurdan), Roy (Heather), Yvonne (Elvis), Derek (Sharon) and Connie (Brad); loving grandfather to:25 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; siblings: Edna Antle, Margarite Pope, Joan Ford and Bill Atkinson; as well as a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The family would like to thank Oram’s Bethesda Manor, Gander for the last 11 months of care. As well as a special thank you to his home care workers: Kim Greenham and Hazel Rideout for the last 6 years Donations in honor of William may be given to the Calvary Pentecostal Church. In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our families and our community continues to be our highest priority.
