Obituary of Frances E. Randell
Frances Ella Randell (nee Dearing) of Twillingate passed peacefully away on Sunday, April 11 at 12:15am at the age of 89 years old.
Frances was born in Moreton’s Harbour but soon fell in love and made the life-long move to Twillingate. Her door was always open to family and friends for a quick visit, her wood stove was always going full tilt even on the hottest summer day, and her radio or TV was on loud - usually listening to the call-in radio shows or news. Frances was quick-witted, spoke her mind, and loved her family more than anything in the world. She watched over the town from the Randell house with her beloved cat Bella on south side where she stayed until she passed.
She is predeceased by her husband Harry Randell and longtime special friend Chesley Lambert; parents Hubert & Stella Dearing; siblings Mildred (Gilbert) Rideout, William (Margaret) Dearing, Emily (Calvin) Boyd, twin brother Frank; parents-in-law Harry and Sarah Randell; sister-in-law Jean Earle, and son-in-law Harvey Horwood.
Frances leaves to mourn her loving brothers Everett (Marie) & Gerald (Flo) Dearing; children Dianne Chappell, Joan Horwood, Lewis (Tara) & Bobby (Marg) Randell; son-in-law Harry Chappell; grandchildren Tony, Sheridan (Terril), Tess (Ben), Dylan (Amy), Terry (Geri), Trevor (Crystal), Todd (Lindsay), Alfie, Sara (Trevana), Carrie, Jessica, Lee Ann (Justin), Travis (Miranda); 19 great-grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law Joyce (Harry), and brother-in-law Reg (Kay). Also left to mourn are Frances’ caregivers, Marg & Patsy; the Lambert family; and many extended family and friends. We are all blessed to have known her and been loved by her.
In light of the current Covid-19 restrictions, the health and safety of our families and our community continues to be of highest priority. At this time there will be a private funeral service from Central United Church, Twillingate on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM.
