Obituary of Ruby Legge

Ruby Legge, (nee Slade) passed away at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center, Twillingate on Sunday July 4, 2021 at the age of 89 years old Ruby is predeceased by: husband Ronald; parents William and Elsie Slade; son-in-law Kevin Benton; brothers: Fredrick, George, Jethro and Tobias; sisters: Annie and Naomi. A loving mother and grandmother, Ruby leaves to many treasured memories: son Kenneth (Shelley); daughter Joan; granddaughter Carley (Tommaso), great-granddaughters: Caterina and Clara; sister in law Joan Legge; as well as many neices, nephews and close friends. She will be greatly missed. In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our families and our community continues to be our highest priority. At this time, there will be a public visitation from the Isles Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. Funeral service by invitation only, will be held at the funeral home on Thursday July 9, 2021 at 2PM with Rev. George Stockley officiating. Donations may be given in Ruby’s memory to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Durrell.
