Lillian Annie Louise Saunders of Twillingate, Newfoundland, peacefully passed away at her residence on Monday, August 30, 2021 at the age of 84 years.

Lillian is predeceased by: parents Eli and Joan Jenkins; husband Winston; brothers; Lloyd, Bruce, Bernard and Brian; sister Bernice (James) Bulgin; sister-in-law Lorrain Jenkins.

Lillian leaves with fond and loving memories: daughters: Linda (Wayne) Waterman and Katherine (Eric) Sansome; grandchildren: Jennifer (Derek), Jared (Ashley), Hailey and Benjamin (Megan); great-grandchildren: Evan, Marcus, Ivy and Max; brothers: Jack (Josephine), Roy (Loretta), David (Cathy), Wayne (Pearl) and Barry (Lisa); sisters: Joyce (Lloyd), Verbena (Gordon) and Stella (Lorne). Lillian also leaves: special friend Max Jenkins; her longtime care givers Mavis Nichol and Vanessa Rideout, as well as her home support girls who have cared for her throughout the past 11 years. In addition, she also leaves her extended fur babies and a large circle of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our families and our community continues to be our highest priority. At this time, there will be a public visitation from the Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate on Wednesday evening from 7-9pm. A funeral service by invitation only, will take place from the Salvation Army Citadel on Thursday September 2, 2021 at 2pm; with Captains Keith and Charlene Barrett officiating.

Donations in Lillian’s honor may be given to Salvation Army Cemetery Fund or the Parkinson’s Society of NL.
