Obituary of Gerald T. Maddigan
Passed away suddenly at home after a courageous and lengthy illness, Gerald Thomas Maddigan, age 72 years – beloved husband, brother, uncle and friend to many. Predeceased by his parents, Gabriel and Bridget; brother, Frank; sister-in-law, Jeanie; brother-in-law, Kevin; niece, Melanie; step-mother, Elizabeth Maddigan and parents-in-law, Raymond and Doris Young.
Gerry will be sadly missed by his soul mate, friend, partner, motivator and faithful beloved wife of 40 years, Fay. Brothers, Sid, Gabe (Shelly), Les, Ches (Tina) Jim, Terry and Donnie (Cecilia); sisters, Carolann (Ray), Linda (Ian), Florence and Denise; brothers-in-law, Joe (Betty) and Doug (Eleanor); sisters-in-law, Hazel, Diane and Dot (Raymond); nieces and nephews Daryl (Heather), Melissa (Chris), Cindy (Jay), Carolyn (Andrew), Sharlene (Jamie), Rico (Angie), Jessica (Josh), Frankie (Andrea), Julia (Darren), Juanita (Darryl), April, Jessica, Amy, Rhonda, Dillon, Brent, Jason, Michelle (Rick), Mandy (Jai), Tracy (Craig), Craig, Justin (Krystal) and John (Shannon); great-nieces and nephews, Paislie, Mia, Adylyn, Cameron, MacKenna, Hayden, Jade, Jasmine, Aiden, Parker, Preston, Coby, Alexander, Ben, Beth, Alley, Matthew, Emily, Gracie, Grady, Gabe, Abby, Devon and Tyler; great-great-nieces and nephews, Rosa, Remi and Beckett as well as a large circle of dear friends, relatives and cousins.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Friday from 11am-9pm. A Funeral Mass will take place at 11:00am on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from St. Teresa’s Church, by invitation only.
An interment service by invitation only, will take place at the Rink Road United Church Cemetery, Twillingate on Saturday October 9, 2021 at 2pm; with Rev. George Stockley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerry’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Gathering Place.
