Obituary of Betty E. S. Gidge

Elizabeth Susan Gidge of Twillingate, Newfoundland, better known to all as "Betty" peacefully passed away at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Center on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at the age of 74 years. Betty was predeceased by: parents Jim and Louise Rowe; adopted parents Philip and Elizabeth LeDrew, husband John; infant son Joseph; grandson Dylan; sisters-in-law: Winnie (Lemuel) LeDrew, Marjorie (Walter) Legge, Lillian (Frank) Rogers and Betty Rowe. Betty leaves with treasured memories: children: Louise (Leslie), Jim, Josephine (Bradley) and Cyril (Jennifer); grandchildren: Robert (Christina), Julie (Mike), Julia-Grace, Sabrina, Damon, Danielle, Zoey and Bailey; great-grandchildren; Landen, Grayson, Avery, Alliannah, Dylan, Lily, Matty and Ocean Elizabeth. Betty also leaves: sister Jean (Dean) O’Neil; brother Raymond Rowe, as well as a circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends. In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our families and our community continues to be our highest priority. At this time, there will be a public visitation from the Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate on Tuesday evening from 7-9pm. A funeral service by invitation only, will take place from the funeral home on Wednesday October 13, 2021 at 2pm; with Ministry Unit Leader, Clayton LeDrew officiating. Donations in Betty’s memory may be given to her family.
