Obituary of Roy James Anstey

Roy James Anstey passed away at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at the age of 90. Roy was predeceased by Parents Carl and Margaret Anstey; Wives Ilene and Bernice; Brother Ernest; Brother-in-law Hubert Peddle. Roy leaves with fond and loving memories Children: Kathleen (Nelson) Rogers, Karen (Heber) Grimes, Andy (Angela); Grandchildren: Christopher (Roxanne) Rogers, Gregory (Joanne) Rogers, Michael Grimes, Jamie (Sara) Anstey, April Anstey; Great-Grandchildren: Olivia Rogers, Kaitlyn Rogers, Myles Grimes, Mark Anstey; Step-Children: Masie (Bernard) Woodford, Charles (Marion) Tarrant, Herbert (Rhoda) Tarrant, Elizabeth (Douglas) Perkins, Harold (Elsie) Tarrant, Jean (Leslie) Burt, Henry Tarrant, Deborah Tarrant (Alvin Mills) and their families. Siblings: Lloyd (Joyce) Anstey, Ruby (Emilio)Jean, Joan (Curtis) Guy, Neville (Shirley) Anstey, Ethel Peddle; as well as a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. In light of the current Covid-19 pandemic, the health and safety of our families and our community continues to be our highest priority. A private visitation will take place from Isles Funeral Home, Twillingate on Friday afternoon from 2-4pm. There will be a private family service held at the Central United Church, Twillingate on Saturday, December 18, 2021 at 1pm with burial at the United Church Cemetery, Little Harbour. At this time, due to government regulations proof of vaccination will be required. Donations may be made in Roy’s memory to United Church Cemetery Fund, Little Harbour.
