Soooooo sorry to hear. Fred was a man of endless energy and a great friend . He loved life and lived without fear. It was not mentioned that we hiked from Gander to Twillingate over the span of one weekend....and the hike was to short for our life stories . He loved his family, wife and kids . I owe him many beers for all the classes he taught karate for me when I was busy . Cheers my friend ! Meino

Fred was always the life of a party and brought smiles and laughter to everyone. During our time in Twillingate we spent a great deal of time with Fred, Mildred, Chad and Chris. We stayed at Paradise in 2016 with Fred and Mildred. We were 4 family members who loved Fred’s humour. Fred escorted us on a hike as he knew the trails. Mildred was very much like my Aunt. I just read his obituary as I was checking out “ Paradise” BnB and saw “ permanently closed”. We’d only met these lovely and funny hosts briefly, however they have remained in our memories mind for all these years. That says something ❤️ So very sad to read about the passing of Fred. Mildred…. We hope you can live with the wonderful memories and having your family and friends close by you Fondly Heather Cass- Kerr
