Sadie Doreen Young

Passed away October 3, 2022

Doreen was a loving and much-loved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother.

Doreen was a kind and gentle soul who loved her family and was especially besotted with her great grandchildren Landon, Thomas and Sophie. Doreen worked hard raising her children, which a lot of the time she was on her own while her husband Warrick worked away from home to keep the family fed and cared for. Doreen loved her church and church related activities. She liked to knit, making quilts with her sister Marion and much of the time in later years she could usually be found with a Search-a-Word puzzle book or playing word games on her iPad. While Warrick was the farmer, Doreen was his faithful partner and shared in the work load especially at harvest time. Doreen was blessed with wonderful family and friends (Joan, Colleen, Barry, Sheila, Linda and Ches) who were always there to help and make sure she was taken care of.

Doreen leaves with fond and loving memories her three children Diane, Donna(Gordon), Terry(Janice). Two grandchildren Jessica and Tyler(Maria), three great grandchildren Landon, Thomas and Sophie.

Donations in Doreen's memory may be given to the Salvation Army Building Fund, Twillingate.
