It all began with a roadside stop in Little Harbour. The kindest man with hands gnarled from life’s work introduced me to his finest crafts… replicas of water craft , some of which he laboured on over his fishing career. That stop resulted in so many years of admiration and friendship with Harry and his love Irene. Over the years I came to know him as a boat builder par excellence, a wood gatherer, a berry picker, a gardener, a fisherman, a provider and a caring family man. He may have been what we refer to as a Jack of all trades before “Jack “was even born.
A humble person who has passed on the best of him to his sons , daughter and grandchildren .
Condolences to all who loved him and to those whom he thought the world of.
