Passed peacefully away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at the Notre Dame Bay Memorial Health Centre, Twillingate, Gordon “Nelson” Robert Hale, age 77 years.

Nelson was born to Garland and Joyce Hale of Change Islands on July 24, 1946. On July 24, 1967, he married Hilda LeDrew and together they raised three children.

Nelson is predeceased by his parents Garland and Joyce Hale, brother Woodrow, and brother-in-law Lawrence Jacobs.

Leaving with loving memories are his wife Hilda of 56 years, his daughter Juanita (Roger), sons Eugene (Roseanne) and Derek (Peggy), grandchildren Jordan (Mackenzie), Melody (Todd), Kaitlyn (Brady), Stephen (Felicia), great granddaughter Saylor, sisters Cavelle (Wayne), Judy (Bruce), and sister-in-law Donna as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Donations in Nelson's memory may be given to The Twillingate Volunteer Fire Dept.
