Obituary of Kathleen Mary Woodford
Passed peacefully away, at the Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre, Botwood, on Saturday, February 24, 2024; Kathleen Mary Woodford at the age of 72.
Kathleen was born on June 24, 1951 to Lewis and Effie May King in Herring Neck, NL and married Cyril Woodford on August 13, 1971.
Kathleen is predeceased by her parents Lewis and Effie May King, her husband Cyril Woodford, infant daughter Theresa, brother Herbert, sisters in law Sheila and Louise, nephew Roderick, grand nephew Robert, parents in law Stanley and Hazel Woodford and her best friend Martha.
Kathleen leaves with fond and loving memories, her daughter Stephanie (Peter), her grandson Kellan, who was the love of her life, her step-grandsons; Patrick, Nicholas, Douglas, and MacCoy; special girls Shanelle and Olivia, her siblings, Harold (Frances), Cyril (Hilda), Marion (Bernard), and James (Maxine); her in laws Shirley, Wilfred (Margaretta), Eileen (Lloyd), Mazie, and Eldred (Linda), and a large circle of sixteen nieces and nephews, 23 great nieces and nephews and a large circle of extended family and friends. Her special friend Anna and her bonus daughter Evelyn.
Kathleen was a faithful member of St. Mary’s Anglican Church Choir, the Anglican Church Women, a member of the SUF Ladies Council #13. Kathleen was an active community member; and she loved a good game of Darts and Bingo. Kathleen was one of the first ladies to go to work on the Fish Plant in Herring Neck until it closed, she then went to work as a Dockside Monitor until her retirement. Kathleen spent her later years living with her daughter Stephanie in Botwood, NL and while there she became an active member of the Botwood Lions Club.
